LICINISO Weekly Publication (11 – 17 May 2026)

This edition of LICINISO examines how global imperialist conflicts directly affect the working class in Swaziland, focusing on the impact of fuel hikes linked to instability in the Middle East and the US-Israel war with Iran.

The publication explores the concept of proletarian internationalism, the relationship between imperialism and the Tinkhundla regime, and the economic consequences of rising fuel prices on workers and poor communities.

This edition further highlights how transport costs, food prices, unemployment, and broader living conditions continue to worsen for ordinary people while the ruling system prioritises elites and extravagant state celebrations over the welfare of the masses.

The publication also carries a message of solidarity with nurses and healthcare workers during International Nurses Day, recognising their dedication, sacrifice, and struggle for quality public healthcare, fair wages, and decent working conditions.

This edition features contributions by Cde Titus Vilakati, Treasurer General of the Communist Party of Swaziland.
