The official logo of the CPS consists of a gold hammer and sickle with a star. The star is positioned at the upper edge of the hammer and features two thin colour layers: the outer layer in gold and the inner layer in red. The letters CPS appear between the lower part of the hammer and sickle in black.

Hammer, Sickle, and Colours

The hammer and sickle in the logo represent the unity of the working class—the proletariat—and the peasantry. The colour gold signifies the working class as the makers and drivers of the economy. United, the working class builds socialism under the dictatorship of the proletariat, symbolised by the star.

The Star and Colours

The star represents the future socialist society, guided and defended by the dictatorship of the proletariat. The colour gold further symbolises wealth produced by labour, while black represents the African continent, the material basis of the revolutionary struggle.

Background Colour

The red background symbolises the blood of the working class shed in struggle—both past and present—for liberation, justice, dignity, and socialism.

Workers of the World unite, you have nothing to lose but your chains of oppression.
