LICINISO Weekly 1-7 August 2022

In this issue, the CPS discusses the current labour struggle being undertaken by employees of the hardware store franchise, Build It, in Swaziland and the CPS’s involvement in said struggle. In addition, this issue discusses the events of the 4th of August in which security guards organised under SATU (Swaziland Amalgamated Trade Unions) were violently dispersed by the Royal Police using rubber munitions and teargas. Finally the this issue delves into the CPS sunset rally that took place on the 31st of July in Manzini in which the CPS worked to politically educate members of the community.
